Hill House
2024
I engaged with the client mid-way through their architectural new build. set within a captivating mountainside location overlooking Wellington. The brief sought an alternative design approach for two feature bathrooms.
The primary ensuite is conceived as a calm, inviting space, oriented to frame expansive views toward Island Bay. Subtly textured tiles and sage green mosaics are paired with oak joinery, while custom hand-cast concrete benchtops reinforce the home’s industrial architectural language.
In contrast, the powder room adopts a more expressive design. The open brief enabled exploration of colour and materiality, resulting in a rich composition of deep blue tones, organic textured wallpaper, warm brass accents, and amber glass pendants.
